Nehemiah prayed with his head and his heart. He didn’t shy away from responsibility. When in front of the king, he “felt the fear and did it anyway”. He was clear-headed, organised (unlike me!!) Not afraid to ask for what he wanted, for what he knew was needed. Good sense of timing. Not a people pleaser, but able to inspire people with a clear vision.
wow! Nehemiah was just an ordinary person (servant / cup bearer to King of Persia) – but became a “transformational” leader & rebuilt the walls of the city of Jerusalem in 52 days! It started with prayer to God + clear vision + employed several other “leadership” qualities & strategies
