Revelation 21: 3-4
3 See, the home of God is among mortals.
He will dwell with them;
they will be his peoples,
and God himself will be with them;
4 he will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Death will be no more;
mourning and crying and pain will be no more,
for the first things have passed away.’
Revelation has everything to do with how we invest the capital of our lives, what is worth getting excited about, or being afraid of.
Revelation speaks:
to our big and little compromises with the world around us,
what we expect our money can provide for us.
There is nothing more practical than prayer,
Revelation invites us to share the ache of the persecution endured by our brothers and sisters around the world and throughout history. And it speaks into this ache, telling us that the days of evil having its way in this world are numbered.
